Why do you need to register on CSD?

The Central Supplier Database maintains a database of organisations, institutions and individuals who can provide goods and services to government. Companies interested in pursuing tenders within the South African government must register on the Central Supplier Database.

Tenders

A valid CSD registration is required when applying for any tender in government.

Funding

Financial institutions and DFI's may a valid TCC before they can provide funding.

Access to markets

You need to be registered on the CSD database before you can register on any POC supplier database.

How long does it take to get a CSD certificate?

It takes up to 3 working days to register. The 3 day turnaround time applies to applications that are complete and compliant.
