Who should register for Import & Export License?

Import licensing provides protection from legal disputes and financial losses for businesses engaged in international trade. An import license is a permit to import an indicated quantity of certain goods over a specified period of time (typically one year)


Any person (local or foreign) who import goods into South Africa must register as an importer including the importation of continuous transmission commodities (CTC).

How does the process work?

  1. All you have to do is CLICK any button that says “Get Started”.   
  2. You’ll a get short form to fill in. It’s nothing intrusive - It’s just so we can get to know you better e.g. name & contact details    
  3. Then you can make a payment of R2500 (down from our normal price of R2750 )
  4. After that, you’ll just have to submit a copy of your company documents.
